An apprenticeship is a great way to kickstart your career and will provide you with valuable skills and hands-on experience while being fully supported throughout your study.We are seeking a driven individual with a positive attitude and a keen interest in the Engineering industry to join our team as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter. You will have the opportunity to work gain a nationally recognised qualification through a combination of formal training and practical on-the-job experience with ongoing mentoring and support by qualified Council staff.To be successful in this position, you should have a willingness to learn and the commitment to complete a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Engineering â Mechanical Trade) with TAFE. You should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills; competent literacy and numeracy skills; great attention to detail; a positive attitude to safety; and basic computer skills. Pease note employment for the position will be for the duration of the apprenticeship only. You must not hold a qualification in the same or related field or have a qualification that is equal to or higher than the qualification you will receive.
