Coordinator Building Services

Reporting to the Manager Development and Compliance, this role will supervise a team of four in providing effective development approval and inspection services and building and development compliance services with a focus on building control, public safety and amenity in order to achieve outcomes which reflect the expectations of Council and the broader community. The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in and/or accredited certification in Building Surveying to at least A2 level, working towards A1 accreditation would be an advantage as well as the following:Exceptional interpersonal and communication skill and the ability to deal with all stakeholders professionally and courteouslyProfessional experience in Local Government procedures concerning development and building mattersKnowledge of the Building Code of Australia, Environmental Planning & Assessment Act and Reg, and other codesDemonstrated experience in the preparation and presentation of technical reports and submissionsWeekly salary of $ 1,758.61 to $ 1,979.34 (plus 9.5% superannuation).How to ApplyTo apply for this position, please complete the application form below.
