A traineeship is a great way to kickstart your career and will provide you with valuable skills and hands-on experience while being fully supported throughout your study.Kempsey Shire Council developed this successful traineeship program in 2011. Since then, many have gained full time employment, and rewarding careers within Local Government. This year, we are seeking four driven individuals with a positive attitude and a keen interest in the Water industry to join our team as a trainee. You will have the opportunity to work across all sections of the water and sewer teams to gain experience across the variety of areas.To be successful in these positions, you should have a willingness to learn and the commitment to complete a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate II in Water Operations) with TAFE. You should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills; great attention to detail; a positive attitude to safety; and basic computer skills.Please note employment for the position will be for the duration of the traineeship only. You must not hold a qualification in the same or related field or have a qualification that is equal to or higher than the qualification you will receive.
