Council currently has a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our electrical team in the Water and Sewer department.Reporting to the Team Leader Electrical, the Electrical Fitter will participate as part of a team to maintain all of Council’s Water and Sewer electrical assets for the benefit of the Kempsey Shire community.To be successful in this role, you must possess trade qualifications as an Electrical Fitter (Level 2 ASP highly desirable); relevant SafeWork certificates and licenses; experience in the installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repairs of industrial electrical control systems, pumping equipment and infrastructure (Water and Sewer experience highly valued); demonstrated working knowledge of Work Health and Safety; and proven ability to use a computer including mobile devices and software applications with an ability to learn other key applications utilised within Council.On offerIn return, you will be rewarded by:Career developmentPermanent Full-time position, 38 hours per week with a 9-day fortnightA fantastic lifestyle and work life balance, with access to Fitness PassportWeekly salary of $1,306.44 to $1,470.42. (plus 10% superannuation) Key accountabilities includeInstallation, maintenance, repairs and upgrades to Council’s electrical infrastructure.Actively work in a team environment to become a multi-skilled team member carrying out activities of the team and contribute to more efficient work practices and other workplace development issues.Completion of all work to industry standard and AS3000 by utilising specialised skills as trained.Participate in a rotating roster for after hours On-Call duties as required.
