Reporting to the Coordinator Design and Investigation, the Flood and Drainage Engineer plays a key role within the team in improving safety and building flood resilience for our community, as well as contributing to the sustainable management of Council’s stormwater drainage network and natural waterways.The successful candidate will also act as Council’s appointed Local Emergency Management Officer (LEMO) as required. This role provides executive support to the Local Emergency Management Committee and to the Local Emergency Operations Controller, and will require out of hours response during emergencies as part of a rotating roster.
