Your New Role: This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team delivering best-practice library services into the future for our community.Reporting to the Customer Experience Manager, the Team Leader Library is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, programming and staffing of Council’s Library service to deliver a public library experience that is welcoming, inclusive, and supportive of life-long learning principles.As a leader, the Team Leader will be responsible for fostering our positive team culture building strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders and leading the team to deliver high quality outputs.About You: To be successful in this role, you will possess tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Management (or a related discipline); be eligible for membership to the Australian Library and Information Association; possess experience in the provision of public library services at a senior level; and experience with acquisitions, collection management, budgeting, and database and records management.You should also possess an energetic and positive leadership style, with the ability to bring out the best in others; and strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills to build relationships with internal and external customers.Key accountabilities include:Work with the Customer Experience Manager to review best practice and service delivery to ensure a relevant, user friendly, and industry compliant Library service is delivered across the Kempsey Shire. Lead, develop and inspire the team including (but not limited to) planning, day to day supervision rostering, leave requests and training / development plans.
