We have the perfect opportunity!Reporting to the Team Leader Rangers, the Animal Impounding Officer is responsible for providing effective and efficient management of impounded animals within Councils impounding facility through exercise, daily health assessments, feeding, and rehoming programs.This is temporary part-time position covering parental leave for a period of 12 months.Key Accountabilities:Ensuring that Council’s Animal Pound is always maintained in a clean and tidy state.Feeding and exercising animals daily.Cleaning occupied cages daily and ensuring recently vacated cages are cleaned and disinfected.Arranging the rehoming of animals impounded at Councils pound.For a full list of the Key Accountabilities of the role, please refer to the Position Description.About You: To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience with animal handling (companion animals and livestock); have good physical fitness and a current NSW Drivers Licence.
