Working closely with the residents of Kempsey Shire Council, you will be responsible for delivering quality customer service to our community through our customer service centre, call centre and mobile outreach services and supporting our internal stakeholders.You will be working in a busy, ever changing, environment which will require you to balance competing priorities, develop and maintain a strong understanding of council operations and work within council policy and procedures and regulatory constraintWhat you will be doingProtect and enhance the positive image of Council and provide high levels of service to all customers.Provide a friendly, courteous and responsive central point of contact for customer enquiries, transactions and customer action requests (work orders).Provide face-to-face customer service to the Shire’s towns and villages as part of Council’s mobile outreach service.Resolve customer service enquiries and requests (face to face, written, phone) through accurate and efficient personal attentionCarry out a wide range of financial and administrative tasks to support council operations.For a full list of the Key Accountabilities of the role, please refer to the Position Description.About You: The Successful Candidate To be successful in this role, you will have a positive, proactive approach, with strong communication and administrative skills. Ideally hold a certificate 3 in Business Administration or other relevant (tertiary) qualifications and/or demonstrated experience working as an effective team member, delivering quality frontline customer service.You have demonstrated customer service experience working in a call centre environment is highly desirable.
