As a Team Leader Road Works, you’ll be at the forefront of crafting pathways that connect our Shire, and directly contribute to paving the way for progress throughout our region.Your role will involve leading a talented team working to patch, pave and perfect roads, ultimately ensuring they withstand the test of time and traffic! From filling potholes to laying fresh surfaces, you’ll guide your team to success through planning, coordinating and supervising road construction and maintenance within required timeframes and in line with allocated budgets.In addition, you’ll leverage your extensive experience in road construction and previous project management responsibilities to undertake road inspections, estimate labour, plant and material requirements, interpret and implement technical plans, coordinate contractors and provide sound advice to relevant stakeholders throughout the process.For a full list of the Key Accountabilities of the role, please refer to the Position Description.About You: You have an expert ability to play a key role in turning dusty lanes and rough roads into sleek thoroughfares. You hold a Minimum Cert III in Civil Construction, together with a current Construction Induction Certificate, Traffic Control at Worksites Certification and a valid NSW MR driver’s licence. Maintaining a safe and healthy workplace is a passion of yours; you have a detailed understanding of NSW WH&S compliance requirements and a commitment to adhere to safe work practices.
